The MK Youth Initiative proudly joined hands with the Ateker communities in celebrating the vibrant cultural heritage of the Ateker people at the Tobong’u Lore (Come Back Home) Festival. This extraordinary event brought together communities from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, and Ethiopia to honor shared traditions, foster unity, and celebrate the legacy of the Ateker people.
The festival was graced by His Highness Papa Emorimori, the cultural leader of the Ateker, alongside esteemed chief guest H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of Uganda. Together, they emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and sustainable development within the Ateker communities.

Tobong’u Lore serves as a unique platform for cultural exchange, where the rich traditions of the Ateker people are showcased through music, dance, storytelling, and art. The MK Youth Initiative participated in the festivities with pride, acknowledging the importance of cultural preservation in fostering a sense of belonging and identity among young people.
